This 42 week program integrates theory and practical experience with approximately 50% of class time devoted to hands-on performance of esthetic services in a clinical setting. Instructional techniques employed to deliver the program will include lectures, followed by frequent reviews and testing, videos, presentations from industry representatives, procedure and product demonstrations, re-enforced through an on-site practicum. A wide range of employment opportunities will be open for graduates in the spa industry, including hotels, resorts, and cruise lines, or in the beauty and cosmetics industries, or private practice. Today, more than ever, men and women are taking a keen interest in wellness and image, and consider looking after their hands, feet, and nails an essential element of good health and grooming. This increase in demand for services has resulted in nail technology growing into a field of its own with employment opportunities open to graduates in spas, salons, hotels and resorts, nail supply and cosmetic companies, or as small business entrepreneurs.
A professional nail technician today does much more than simply applying nail polish. In this 6 week program, students learn the importance of image and professional conduct in dealing with clients. They study nail and skin anatomy and learn to identify common diseases and disorders like bacteria and fungi infections and their treatments. They learn about contamination, sterilization and safety procedures, and the chemistry in nail products and applications. They learn how to perform a wide range of services from how best to tend to different types of nails, to manicures and pedicures, massage techniques, and the application of artificial nails and wraps.
This 6-week/250 hour program integrates theory and practical experience with approximately 50% of class time devoted to hands-on performance of nail technology services in a clinical setting. A variety of instructional techniques are employed to deliver the program including lectures, followed by frequent reviews and testing, videos, guest speakers and presentations from industry representatives, and procedure and product demonstrations, all re-enforced through an on-site practicum.

Drawing upon their creative instincts and knowledge in the use of colour, facial analysis, cosmetic products, and style, students learn how to apply makeup to enhance their client’s image, and create looks for different occasions. Physiology of the skin and its disorders, skin preparation, bacteriology, and infection control are also essential elements of the program.
This 300 hour program integrates theory and practical experience with approximately 50% of class time devoted to hands-on performance of makeup artistry services in a clinical setting. A variety of instructional techniques employed will include lectures, followed by frequent reviews and testing, videos, guest speakers and presentations from industry representatives, and procedure and product demonstrations all re-enforced through an on-site practicum.
Graduates can look forward to exciting career opportunities in the fashion and entertainment industries, or in spas, salons, photographic and wedding studios, or as freelance artists. Some may find employment in cosmetic firms or retail departments as cosmetic representatives and beauty advisors. The opportunities are almost endless!
